Teacher of the Week, Ms. Pollard

Ms. Pollard has been selected to be teacher of the week by the Sapphire Dance Team. She earned the honor of being chosen because of her lovely personality with her students and her participation in the teacher pep rallies.
“I voted for Ms. Pollard because I admire how she would always participate in pep rallies and her sweet and bubbly personality as a teacher.” Sapphire, Karis Morris said.
Ms. Pollard was not only chosen for her charismatic personality or her involvement in pep rallies but for her willingness to work around Sapphire students.
“I picked Ms. Pollard because she allowed students to be on the Sapphire Dance Team and in the varsity choir. She also let the Sapphire students in choir have a schedule that worked with both.” Sapphire, Carly Anes said.
Ms. Pollard is greatly admired and appreciated as a choir teacher for various reasons like her support for the Sapphires and her consideration of her students
Ms. Pollard does her job with pride and joy and ensures her students are well taught. She became a teacher because she felt drawn to it especially with a history of being in choir.
“ I became a teacher because I always wanted to become one, however it wasn’t for a specific reason. When I joined choir, I knew in that moment that I would become a choir teacher.” Pollard said.
Sapphire and Sprit Gem of the Week, Giselle Hernandez and Presley Bryant

On Sept. 13 2024, Giselle Hernandez and Presley Bryant were both awarded with honorable rewards that represent them on the Sapphire dance team. By working hard, giving her all, and never giving up, Hernandez achieved the ‘Sapphire of the Week’ award.
“I think my energy, sharpness, and the ability to fix anything I messed up on by taking incentive definitely helped me obtain this award,” Hernandez said.
Receiving this award can boost someone’s confidence and bring them much more triumph.
“I feel great about being named ‘Spirit Gem of the Week’, it is such an honor to be selected in this position,” ‘Spirit Gem’ Bryant said.
So many thoughts can go through your head when being elected for this privilege.
“I was thinking that this is crazy cause I'm really quiet, so I didn’t expect to get a spirit award. But I always cheer on my teammates, and I think that definitely helped me achieve this title,” Bryant said.
Showing spirit and training hard will not fail to get someone's attention. These girls trying their best no matter what helped them achieve their goals and let them be seen.
