Get to know the seniors for the '24-25 year 

Chayse Hill

By: Riley Mulky

    Chayse Hill, the daughter of Kourtney and Chris Hill, is the oldest of her 2 siblings, Carsyn and Cohyn Hill. 

    Hill is very active at the high school, doing varsity softball, being the treasurer of FFA (Future Farmers of America), and being a part of FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athlete).

“My favorite memory here would be Buddy fish day every year,” Hill said.

    Hill plans on attending Blinn College and then to transfer to Texas A&M to major in Veterinary Technology. She is very glad to be able to be at the high school and is very grateful for all the support she has received. She credits her grandmother as her greatest influence on her life. 

    “My grandma is my biggest influence because she has taught me everything I know,” Hill said. “She is my biggest supporter no matter what.”

    Hill can’t wait to see what her future holds and is making sure to look out for the underclassmen by telling them to stand up for themselves and enjoy high school while they can while also hanging out with her friends with the remaining time she has at the high school.

    “Once a Blue Jay, always a Blue Jay,” Hillsaid.

Rheya Johnson

Senior Reyha Johnson was born on October 21, 2006. She was raised by her mother Mandy Johnson. She has 3 siblings Keris, Jordan, and King. Her most influential person in her life is her mother. 

“My mom because she is an amazing role model, hardworking and smart. I aspire to be as good at everything as she is,” Johnson said.

 Johnson works, runs track, plays soccer, and volunteers for the youth. Her favorite memory at the school is the pep rallies. She would like to be remembered as a nice person. Her favorite teacher is Mr. Kohleffel.    

 “He was relatable and I could be myself in his class,” Johnson said. 

Her plans after graduation are to go to TSU for international marketing. 

Johnsons would like to leave a piece of advice to the underclassmen. 

“Just have fun, but focus and just be you,” Johnson said.

Lauryn Bromonsky

Senior Lauryn Bromonsky was born on June 13th, 2007. Her parents are Barry and JoAnne Bromonsky. She also has 3 siblings by the names of Bethany, Skylin, and Brenden Bromonsky. 

She looks up to her parents for being the most influential people in her life. 

“They have always provided for me and showed me what working hard looks like to achieve your goals.” Bromonsky said.

She has been in several activities like FFA, PALS, yearbook, as well as showing livestock. She is also  serving in the 2025 Fort Bend County as Miss United States Agriculture.

`Her favorite memory from school was the hail storm. 

“My favorite memory would be the day that the hail storm came through and it was raining in our school the next day.” Bromonsky said. 

Something she would like to be remembered as is the person who gives back.

 “I would like to be someone who loves to give back to their community.” Bromonsky said.

Bromonsky’s favorite teacher is Mrs Peters because she feels welcomed. 

“The environment is so welcoming and Mrs. Peters is like a mom to her students.” Bromonsky said. 

Bromonsky plans to attend Tarleton State University after she graduates. She would like to major in Agriculture Communications as well as a minor in digital media.

Some advice she wants to leave underclassmen is to never stop trying. 

Zoey Yackel

Zoey Yackel, daughter of Erin and Billy Yackel, and a sister to 3, was born on Sept. 4, 2006. She credits Mr. Jeffrey from HTE Dance as the most influential person in her life. 

“I love him, he is my role model, he is what I want to be in life,” Yackel said.

Yackel intends on going to Blinn College and continuing on to University of Texas where she will major in English and psychology to pursue being a family and marriage lawyer.

“I plan on attending Blinn College for 2 years and then transferring to University of Texas where I will double major in English and psychology, to one day become a family and marriage lawyer.”, Yackel said.

Yackel’s favorite memory of school is working hard in a struggled subject but overcoming it with the help of Mr. Perry. Yackel is a part of UIL and the Sapphires Co-Captain. Her favorite teacher is Coach Galvan. 

“Coach Galvan is my favorite teacher because of how hard she pushes everyone.” Yackel said. “She is extremely compassionate but has morals, and I find that very admirable. She held me and her other students to a higher level, and I think that’s how all teachers should treat their students. She makes me want to do my very best, and reminds me that things aren't just handed out, you have to work for them”

Zoey Yackel would like to be remembered as someone who is determined and not afraid to speak or act for herself and others.

“I want to be remembered as someone who worked for what she wanted and voiced her opinion, and as someone who fights for herself and others.” Yackel said. 

Yackel would like to share a piece of advice for the underclassmen. 

“Enjoy highschool. It goes by way too fast,” Yackel said.

Justine Juarez

   With the 2024-2025 school year starting, we have another set of seniors ready to graduate and start a new part of their lives. This year, one of the seniors is Justine Juarez. She was born on May 31, 2007 to mother Alma Batalzar. She credits her mom as the most influential person in her life. 

    “My mom is the most influential person in my life because she has pulled me through everything and is my biggest supporter.” Juarez said..

    Through all four years of highschool, people are going to have different feelings about it but, Jaurez is very positive about it.

    “My journey has been great, I’ve been in a lot of clubs, I’ve done a lot of leadership positions, and I have done really hard classes, and it’s just been great and an amazing experience.” Jaurez said.

    The best part about highschool is that everyone can experience many different things, and Juarez is  very talented in band.

    “I’m a drum major and honestly, it is really fun and I enjoy it.” Juarez said.

    Juarez’s plans after high school are to study to go into healthcare.     “After high school I plan to study to be a xray technician or an MRI technician because I’m into that.” Juarez said.

    Now that Juarez is in her last year of highschool, she hopes to make new impressions, and leave lasting ones as well.

    “I would like to be remembered as someone who was always full of energy and enthusiasm.” Juarez said. 

    Juarez would like to leave a piece of advice to the underclassmen. 

    “Don’t hang out with people who are bad influences,” Juarez said.

Maddy Malek

Maddy Malek was born on Sept 13, 2006 to parents Stephanie and Jayson. She has one sister Millie. She credits her biggest influence as both her parents. A“They support me through everything,” Malek said. Maddy’s influential person is both her parents because they support her through everything. 

Malek is involved as president of pals, vice president and president of debate and last but not least secretary of FCA. 

Maddys favorite memories is that she loves the pep rallies. Maddy would like to be known as a very outgoing, encouraging, and hardworking person. Maddy’s favorite teacher is Ms.adamson Her favorite class is PALS. 

“PALS, because it is a great experience to mentor young students,” Malek said. 

Maddys plans for after graduation are to go to college and major in biology or pre medical and become an Obgyn. Malek would like to leave a piece of advice to the underclassmen. 

“Don’t take everything seriously. You only live once,”Malek said.
